Loic is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a BA in psychology from the University of Alberta and an MA from Martin Luther University’s Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care Program. In his practice, he emphasizes relating to clients as individuals and takes great care to unfold and understand clients’ unique stories and perspectives.
His approach is tailored to each specific client’s needs and draws from a broad range of modalities, most notably Humanistic Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He has experience helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relationships, existential questioning, and life transitions. He also has considerable experience working with individuals presenting with autism and ADHD.
Regardless of the modality he is working with, he always makes a point to encourage clients’ innate capacities for growth and change, their agency, their strengths, their ability to generate insight, as well as their abilities to attain personal goals and locate meaning in their lives.
Loic has experience working with youth and young adults in both care-based and academic settings. He has worked as a caregiver, tutor, and teaching assistant for both neurodivergent (ADHD, autism), and neurotypical children, teens, and emerging adults.
In addition to degrees in psychology and psychotherapy, Loic has an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) from the University of Oregon where he studied and taught creative writing.
Outside of psychotherapy Loic is interested in literature, music, writing, and basketball.
