Main Kitchener Location
Street Therapy operates at 177 Victoria location. Kitchener, Canada’s old “German capital,” has undergone many changes over the years. Just about 10 years ago, the city of Kitchener established heritage preservation in the area which initiated the redevelopment of old buildings into commercial and loft living spaces. Google’s decision to move to the old Tannery district in 2011, now known as the Innovation District, helped give new life and attracted more people to work and live in the growing city.

177 Victoria St. N. is located in the heart of Kitchener’s revitalized downtown core. The neighbourhood boasts a rich history while being close to businesses and entertainment. We are conveniently located across from Metro Restaurant, steps away from the upcoming transit hub, and just a few kilometres from the expressway (401). We’re also within walking distance of the Innovation District of Kitchener (e.g. Google, The Tannery, The Kaufman Lofts, Breightup Block, Via Rail/ Go Train, and so on).
Our comfortable psychotherapy and consultation office is on the first floor of a historic century building, within the Civic Centre Conservation District. We have a parking lot available for our clients on the rear side of the building. Although we do not have a designated waiting room, you can sit in the meeting room/ boardroom while you wait as long as it is available and not in use. The building is not wheelchair accessible, however, Street Therapy can provide remote/ online video sessions to clients who may need this service.

Bernadette’s decision to share an office with various professionals is not a typical choice for many mental health professionals. She primarily decided to do this to decrease the stigma of coming into therapy as well as to integrate mental health services with various disciplines and businesses. .
Second Kitchener Location
Street Therapy’s second location, 231 Fredrick St., replaced the old Queen S. location. Our second location was established in May of 2022 to accommodate the growing need for psychotherapeutic support for our clients. This location is unit number 3, and the first door to your right when entering from the back of the building.Â
We will continue operations at the Main Kitchener location, providing individual therapy and assessments. 231 Fredrick St. helps us serve individuals and families with larger therapy room space, and an inviting waiting room.
